Sawan Somvar Shri Rameshwar Jalabhishek Seva

Shri Rameshwaram Jyotirlinga is one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. It is closely associated with Lord Rama, who is believed to have worshipped Lord Shiva here before crossing to Lanka. The temple is one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in India and holds immense significance during the holy month of Shravan.
श्री रामेश्वरम ज्योतिर्लिंग भगवान शिव के 12 पवित्र ज्योतिर्लिंगों में से एक है। धार्मिक मान्यता के अनुसार भगवान श्रीराम ने लंका प्रस्थान से पूर्व यहीं भगवान शिव की आराधना कर शिवलिंग की स्थापना की थी। इसलिए यह धाम शैव एवं वैष्णव दोनों परंपराओं में अत्यंत पूजनीय माना जाता है। सावन सोमवार के दिन यहाँ जलाभिषेक एवं शिव पूजा का विशेष धार्मिक महत्व है।
